Quantitative Analyst - Hedge Fund - Oxford

Quantitative Analyst required to join top Oxford Hedge Fund. The top candidate will require an extremely high level of academia, coupled with strong mathematical ability and some knowledge of programming.

The role requires analysts to review large, dirty data sets, looking for patterns and anomalies among the noise, based on real world data. Experience in Statistics, Physics or Mathematics has been found to be most beneficial to this role. Techniques such as Probability Theory or Time Series Analysis are regular used, but no prior experience of these is necessary to your application.

You will require a PhD in a quantitative or related academic subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Machine Learning, etc) from a top university. They will happily consider exceptional Bachelors or Masters from a top university (Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial...). You will also require exceptional A Level grades.

Top academics from an international-equivalent University will also be considered.

You will require experience from your research using large, dirty data sets, finding anomalies and patterns. You will also require some programming experience in C++ or Matlab, C or R. Any further programming experience using scientific or OO-programming methods would be advantageous.
