Head of AI / Lead AI Research Engineer | DeepTech | Defence & Autonomy | London (Hybrid)
A pioneering deep-tech company is building the foundational software and AI that will power the next generation of autonomous systems — from intelligent sensors to robotics and decision-making platforms. Backed by leading investors and driven by a world-class technical team, they’re on a mission to redefine how AI can be safely and effectively deployed in high-impact, real-world environments.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an emerging AI function within a rapidly scaling organisation tackling some of the hardest challenges in autonomy, perception, and intelligent systems.
The Role
As Head of AI, you’ll lead the development and delivery of the company’s AI strategy — spanning perception, control, multi-modal data fusion, and applied machine learning. You’ll guide a talented team of engineers and researchers, help shape the roadmap for intelligent autonomy, and personally contribute to the design and implementation of AI models across both software and edge environments.
You’ll work closely with the founding team and product leads to build an AI capability that blends cutting-edge research with robust, production-grade engineering.
