A leading defence consultancy is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. Key Responsibilities

Deliver accurate cost engineering and modelling across complex technical programmes

Apply statistical methods to risk analysis and parametric forecasting

Support business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and trade-off evaluations for stage-gate and approval processes

Use a range of estimation techniques including bottom-up, analogous, and parametric approaches
-
Develop cost models that withstand independent scrutiny and validation

Conduct uncertainty modelling and cost/schedule risk assessments
-
Support competitive bidding activities (PQQs, ITTs, ITNs)

Travel to client sites across the UK as required
Essential Experience & Skills

Proven experience in cost engineering or cost estimation

Background in the defence sector (industry roles or military service)

Strong knowledge of statistics and cost modelling techniques

Ability to factor in design, manufacturing, lifecycle support, overheads, and pricing strategy in estimates

Track record of delivering robust cost models for defence or engineering programmes
