A fast-growing, recently funded trading technology start-up is looking for an experienced Quant Developer to join its engineering team in London.
The company is building high-performance trading infrastructure across modern financial markets, using Rust at the core of its technology. It's an opportunity to work on technically demanding systems where performance, reliability and speed are critical.
You'll be joining a small, ambitious team where engineering has a direct impact on the business. They're looking for someone who combines strong software engineering ability with genuine industry experience, and who wants more influence over the systems they build and the direction they take.
Having recently secured significant new investment, the business is entering an exciting stage of growth. For someone coming from a larger bank, hedge fund or trading firm, it's a chance to take the experience they've built in an established environment and apply it somewhere they can have a much bigger impact.
About you

Experience in quantitative development, electronic trading or market making

Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally with experience in Rust, C++ or python

Understanding of trading systems, pricing, execution or market data

Comfortable working on performance-critical, production-grade systems

Interested in taking greater ownership within a smaller, fast-moving team

Keen to work with modern technologies and help shape a growing engineering function
What you'll be doing

Building and optimising high-performance trading systems in Rust

Developing core infrastructure across pricing, execution and market data

Working closely with the trading team to solve complex technical problems

Taking ownership of key systems and contributing to architectural decisions

Improving system performance, reliability and scalability

Helping shape the technology as the business continues to grow
