An exceptional opportunity for a Founding AI Engineer to join a heavily backed, stealth-mode Applied AI Lab, working at the frontier of AI to solve real world problems.
With top-tier VC backing and founders who have previously built and exited a unicorn, the ambition is to assemble a world-class technical team capable of turning the latest AI breakthroughs into genuinely transformative products.
This is not a role for someone who simply integrates AI into existing software. We're looking for an exceptional AI Engineer who understands what's possible with frontier models and has the technical ability, creativity and product instincts to turn that potential into reality.
You are:
- 2+ years of professional AI or Software Engineering experience, with evidence of exceptional technical ability
- Proven ability to design, build and ship sophisticated AI-powered products end-to-end
- Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, AI Agents, Agentic AI or modern Applied AI systems
- An engineer who enjoys experimenting with emerging AI capabilities but knows how to turn promising ideas into robust, production-ready products
- Highly product-minded, with the creativity to identify new applications of frontier AI and the engineering ability to deliver them
- Exceptionally resourceful, ambitious and comfortable taking complete ownership in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment
Bonus points:
- Experience at an AI start-up or Applied AI Lab
- Ex-Founder or Founding Engineer, or an impressive track record of independently building AI products
- Experience with LLM evaluation, model optimisation or advanced agentic systems
