Graduate UI/UX Designer

ClimateTech Scale-Up | Remote First | Product Ownership

The Role

This is not a typical graduate design position.

You’ll join a product-focused team where design plays a central role in shaping what gets built and how users experience it. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute across the full product lifecycle and develop the skills to think beyond individual screens and features.

Working closely with product, engineering and stakeholders, you’ll help turn ideas into intuitive, impactful digital experiences.

You’ll be involved in:

  • supporting user journeys from discovery through delivery
  • designing clear, thoughtful and user-centred experiences
  • helping translate complex requirements into simple interfaces
  • contributing to product decisions and feature development
  • creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes and polished UI
  • gathering feedback and improving experiences through iteration
  • helping maintain and evolve design systems and standards

This is a broad role with exposure across design, product and delivery — ideal for someone who wants to build strong foundations early in their career.

What They’re Looking For

  • Graduating this year or up to ~2 years of experience
  • Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Psychology, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Interest in both UI and UX, with a desire to understand how products succeed
  • Strong visual communication and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams
  • Curious, proactive and excited to take ownership

A portfolio is expected — this can include:

  • university projects
  • internships
  • freelance work
  • side projects
  • personal design explorations

Experience with modern design and prototyping tools is helpful, but they care more about your thinking, process and willingness to learn than experience with a specific platform.

Why This Opportunity

  • Remote-first working with flexibility and trust
  • Early responsibility and meaningful ownership
  • Opportunity to influence products from an early stage
  • Learn from experienced product, design and engineering teams
  • Mission-driven work creating positive climate impact
  • Join a fast-growing scale-up environment with significant opportunity for growth

If you’re looking for a graduate role where you can build products, develop quickly and contribute to meaningful work from day one, we’d love to hear from you.
